In the beginning
Long, long ago, in a land far, far away, there lived an ancient race of peoples, called the Druids...
Oh, wait. That was somebody else. I was in a musty crawl space, contemplating how to get through a tangle of electrical wires so dense, it may well have been an obstacle at Omaha Beach. But, as no one was shooting at me, I was afforded the luxury of being able to pick and choose my path through them without destroying them outright. My goal was beyond them. But knowing that whatever appliances and outlets they were connected to were probably important to the homeowner, I was forced to regard them with care. And, thus, much longer than I would have otherwise.
That's when I struck upon a novel idea. Well, maybe not so novel, as other people had had this idea long before. But it was an epiphany for me, at the time. I thought, 'That wire is stiff but bendable'. 'It's strong and elegant at the same time'. 'It's creamy and delicious'. 'Hmmm, it must be lunch time'. Then it hit me. 'I can make things out of that'!
And so I did. And I still am.
Some of them are in these pages.

In the middle
In 2004, things started going wrong. I couldn't figure out what was happening to my body. Eventually it got really bad, and in early 2008 I was diagnosed with progressive MS (wannh wannh wannh wannh, goes the music). It looked grim for awhile, but eventually I was lucky enough to get the care and treatment needed to slow it down. Keep your fingers crossed for Dangle that it stays slowed down.
I said to myself: 'OK, now what? Can't go back into construction. But I can still use my hands. Might as well do something you love doing'. It was a no-brainer.
Wire is the first thing I started creating with, and I still use it the most. Other materials are tossed in here and there, though, you'll start to see more of them soon on these pages. Keep an eye out. I want to be able to use anything that crosses my path, and move in a more multi-media, multi-dimensional direction.
I have lots of ideas tugging at me all the time. One thing that may help steer this train is your feedback on what you like, don't like, and would like to see in the future. Your comments and requests can be posted on my Guestbook page. I can contact you via e-mail if you wish to communicate.
